I like them all personally. even gerry. for only 6 months training he did pretty damn well actually. you can hear in his voice at some parts that with a lot more training he could've done really well.

you can't blame him for the deformity either. think of it from ALW's point of view. He thought they should lessen the deformation a bit because it was in theatres, and he wanted to draw in new fans, to the mainstream the play version (or any other, though i wish someone would do it how the BOOK really happened *mumbles*) might not have been as appealing to a larger audience. yes, it did backfire a bit because most of the original fans didn't like it, but it also succeeded in drawing in a whole new crowd, and you have to admit, having more phans is never a bad thing. erik deserves them afterall.

and last, don't blame gerry cause he's pretty NOT his fault!

believe me, i don't mean to say i completely disagree with you, there's a lot about the movie i think could've been a lot better, and there could've been better acting choices, though, from who they had, gerry was the best. (i mean, would antonio banderez have been much better? NO! )

I'm a completely and total fan of everything other erik you mentioned, PLUS Ken Hill's Erik. I like leroux's erik best, but by looking at it more closely, gerry was'nt the best, but he was good for the situation he was thrown into. so don't completely bash him, that part meant a lot to him if you read the interviews and he did try his best. >< which personally i think was pretty good for only 6th months of training and all of the tweeking schumaker did to the film to make erik more romantic and less psycho. ()

Xd but yeah, gerry didn't quite know how to throw the punjab.

other than that, very funny picture. <-< >-> if only all the erik's got together more often we all would be happy people wouldn't we?
